Member Testimonial: Sarah Adams has been a member of Bridport Leisure Centre for over 20 years and has used the facilities throughout different stages of her life while living with Multiple Sclerosis.

“I have been coming to this leisure centre for over 20 years. I used to come two or three times a week to keep my strength and stamina, and over time I began to use the gym. I’m now focusing on using the gym to give me the strength I need, as MS has caused fatigue and affected my upper body and core.”

Sarah has always enjoyed the pool and aquafit classes and now works weekly with personal trainer Iris alongside her GP referral programme.

“It’s absolutely helping,” Sarah says. “Even my posture has improved, I’m sitting upright, holding my head up, and thinking about my core muscles.”

Now retired, Sarah continues to benefit from the supportive environment at Bridport Leisure Centre as she works towards maintaining strength, confidence and independence.
