Visitors to the fitness suite at Bridport Leisure Centre will soon be able to benefit from range of improvements and all-new, state-of-the-art training equipment.
Arriving at the centre this week, the new equipment will include two Technogym Skillmill and two ClimbExcite machines. Both offer leading edge technology and full body training that will enhance the fitness suite’s already sizeable offering of apparatus and equipment.
As part of an overall enhancement of the suite, the area which currently houses the rowing machines is to be matted out and converted into a functional training area with new kit including a new bench for weights, new medicine balls, plyometric boxes, power bands, suspension trainers and dumbbells.
There’ll also be two new pods where customers can sign in and chat with personal trainers, as well as an upgrade to the Wellness System which will allow customers to log in from their smart phones.
Leisure Centre Manager Nick Neale said the new equipment had been carefully selected after extensive consultation with customers and with users of all abilities in mind. He said:
‘The fitness suite has always been the beating heart of the Leisure Centre and we’re thrilled to be delivering this new phase for all our customers in Bridport. The new machinery is there for everyone to access, whether you are an accomplished athlete or just setting out on your journey to wellness.’
He added that the SkillMill is especially helpful for anyone recovering from illness or injury, because it is non-motorised, low-impact and strength-building.
Mr Neale said anyone interested in seeing the new fitness suite and talking to an instructor about improving their wellbeing should contact reception and book an appointment for a tour.
