The Pavilion

The Pavilion at Bridport Leisure Centre provides the ideal venue for meetings, conferences, training courses and social events.

 

Available to hire throughout the year with the exception of weekends during the rugby season (September to April) the Pavilion is ideally located close to the town centre but with easy access to all main routes and provides plenty of free on site parking.

 

The Pavilion is available to hire between the hours of 9.00am and 11.00pm although an element of flexibility outside of these hours is available if requested with the Bookings Administrator.  The Pavilion has a bar which can be made available on request.  If the bar is required outside of the normal hours of hire, a request must be made to the Bookings Administrator for an extension to these hours.  The Pavilion also has a kitchen containing general equipment that can be used.

 

The Pavilion has a maximum capacity of 120 standing and 70 sitting and can be set up to your specific event requirements.  Equipment available within the hire price includes tables and chairs, overhead projector and screen and flip chart.

Bridport Rugby Football Club

The Pavilion at Bridport Leisure Centre is also to home to Bridport Rugby Football Club.

Bridport RFC Senior Section

Bridport 1st XV team play in the Dorset & Wilts Division 1 South and the 2nd XV team play in the Dorset & Wilts Division 3 South.  There are also the occasional vets side.

Training is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.00pm under the direction of Head Coach Paul Ninnim.

Bridport RFC Junior/Youth Section

With great facilities for players of all ages and abilities, Bridport RFC has RFU qualified coaches for all age levels from 6 to 18 years and is only the third club in Dorset to be presented with the RFU Seal of Approval, an award which is presented to clubs who show amongst other things good practice in both training and child welfare.

The rugby season starts on the first Sunday in September and runs through to the end of April with training sessions starting at 10.30am until noon.  The older age group (13 to 18 years) also train one evening a week under floodlight.

The Bridport RFC Junior/Youth section has over 200 players but is always willing to accept more so players of all abilities are encouraged to have a go and join the Club.  There is a strong fixture list which involves playing other clubs both at home and away.

Bridport RFC also has a commitment to enter primary schools in West Dorset to teach pupils tag rugby and each year they host a schools tag festival which attracts 20 school teams.

 

Bridport RFC Junior/Yoiuth section meet Sunday mornings from 10.30am - 12.00pm
Girls and boys from 6 - 12 years
Boys from 6 - 18 years
13 - 18 age group also train one evening a week
