Fitness courses

Short fitness courses at Bridport Leisure Centre run for six weeks and give you the guidance and focus to master a new skill and boost fitness. Great for seeing progress and for those who like a goal. All courses start the week commencing Monday 4th February 2019.


Mondays

Pole Moves: Practise new tricks and positions. Keep improving your skills and set new goals.

Pole fitness is a unique way to build core stability, flexibility, and body confidence. Our
pole courses introduce you to this invigorating, musical discipline and give you the skills
you need to take your practice to the next level.

Tuesdays

Baby Massage: Enjoy learning relaxation techniques to help soothe and connect with your baby. This course helps to enable better communication whilst enjoying quality time in a relaxing environment.

Chair based exercise: A gentle and low-intensity chair-based exercise class to help improve your posture, balance, and strength. Suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

Orthopilates: Learn how to move efficiently, gain strength, control and physical durability. Exercises can be adapted for all ages and levels of fitness, whether you’re recovering from an injury, pregnant, retired or a competitive athlete.

STOTT Pilates: a contemporary, anatomically-based approach to Joseph Pilates original exercise method. A safe, highly effective and low impact way to stretch and strengthen the body.

Starting on Saturday 12th January 2019 in the main pool:

Level 1: PADDLE BOARD FITNESS, Saturdays 10:30am – 11:30am

Level 2: PADDLE BOARD HIIT (High-intensity interval training) Saturdays 11:30am – 12:30pm

Limited to 10 places. £35 for a 4-week course or £10 per session.
